As much as two guards – a person and lady – are at the moment being held hostage by an unnamed inmate with a makeshift weapon at Alençon – Condé-sur-Sarthe, within the Orne. The hostage scenario is reported to have occurred when the prisoners’ meals had been served, based on native information experiences. A conflicting report states it occurred when the guards tried to switch the inmate to a different jail.
Armed police are on the scene in northern France.
They’re at the moment trying entry to the jail.
The jail has since been evacuated following the incident, which occurred at 7.40pm.
The incident comes three months after a terror assault occurred in the identical location.
French jail inmate Michael Chiolo was shot useless after stabbing two guards in an assault on the identical jail.
